Executive Director, Live4Lali, Inc.

When an opiate overdose tragically took the life of her younger brother, Alex, Chelsea Laliberte set out on a mission to bring awareness to the disease of addiction along with mental illness, the role drugs play in modern society, and the health needs of communities across America.

In 2009, Chelsea co-founded Live4Lali with her family and friends with an initial goal of de-stigmatizing opiate addiction in Chicago-land. Now as Live4Lali’s Executive Director, what was once a vision has become a save haven for individuals struggling with addiction, their loved ones and those who have lost someone to an accidental drug overdose.

Her work has included developing Live4Lali’s current customizable and comprehensive community education programs, and hosting private and group Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution (OEND) trainings to equip users and their loves ones with the opiate overdose antagonist. Chelsea’s passion lead to community organizing projects with Roosevelt University’s Illinois Consortium on Drug Policy, and co-developing the Lake County Opioid Initiative with key community stakeholders.

Chelsea lives in Palatine, IL with her family. She has a BA in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University and is a MSSA candidate with a focus in Mental Health from Case Western Reserve University.
