The 2016 FED UP! RALLY WAS A SUCCESS!
The 2016 FED UP! Rally and March to Capitol Hill was held on Sunday, September 18th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Sylvan Theater on the Washington Monument grounds in Washington, D.C.. There was be a sold-out reception at the National Press Club on the evening of September 17th and a Hill Day on Monday, September 19th. Photos and details coming soon. Thank you for your support!

As a follow-up to this year’s FED UP! Rally, we are organizing a Hill Day educational briefing on Capitol Hill on Monday, September 19. We will gather in Rayburn House Office Building (HOB Rm B-339) from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM to discuss needed next steps in policy and legislation to stem the tide of the nation’s opioid addiction and overdose death epidemic. Light morning refreshments will be provided. Our educational program will address the deficiencies in the CARA act as well as the lack of serious funding that must be addressed in the weeks ahead. Please come to our educational briefing and schedule a meeting with your member of Congress for later that day. We need to ensure our voices are heard and that Congress provides adequate, mandatory funding this year!

Those of you who have attended the FED UP! Rally in the past may remember the banner that has been used as a backdrop for the Rallies. The banner displays the names of many loved ones who have been lost to the opioid epidemic. In order to include more names, an updated banner will be created for this year’s Rally. If you have a lost loved one you would like to have added to the banner, please send the name to April Rovero at [email protected].
